Pamela Kathryn Watson

Pamela Kathryn Watson, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away September 10 in Fort Worth, Texas. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on April 5, 1948 in St. Louis, MO. to Dewey Alexander and Lorraine Doherty Alexander. Pam was born and raised in St. Louis and loved the Gateway City. Her dad worked as a city bus driver and worked for Curtis-Wright. Her mom, Lorraine was a Registered Nurse and raised the Alexander family after the early passing of Dewey in 1963.

Pam and Mike met in 1965 and after Mike knocked on her door and they went on a simple car ride their love story started. They were married on May 20, 1967 and the two of them were on their 58-year adventure together. A Marine Corp deployment took them to South Carolina and Hawaii before returning to their Midwest roots.

Pam had some jobs along the way and made lifelong friends at each stop. Her employers included The Keller State Bank, Frost Bank, Hallmark and even a local toy store, which was a dream come true for her two kids!

Pam’s generation of wives and mothers dedicated themselves to serving and building their families. She was the symbol in the Watson family for love, strength, loyalty, beauty and sacrificing for those around her. Her goal was to make her family the best they could be and make sure they always felt loved.

Pam is survived by her husband of 58 years Michael Watson of Fort Worth, son Scott Watson and wife Tisha of Keller, Texas and daughter Sara Maughan and husband Bradley of Fort Worth, Texas, grandchildren Zachary and his wife Natalie, Kathryn and her husband Tyler Harden, Presley, Emma, Paige and Ian and great granddaughter Eleanor. She was preceded in death by Dewey, Lorraine and James Alexander. There will be a family funeral service at 10:15am on September 17 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
