

Born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Covington, Louisiana, she graduated from Covington High School as valedictorian in 1997. She went on to attend Louisiana State University, earning her Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a 4.0 GPA in 2001, and later completed her Master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006.
She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. Becky is survived by her loving husband, Victor “Tim” Bean, and their three children, Ryan (10), Michael (8), and Erin (8), who were the joy of her life. She is also survived by her parents, Dwaine James Plauche Sr. and Gail Breaux Plauche; her sister, Ardath K. Plauche (Areea Mostofi), and her brother, Dwaine J. Plauche Jr. (Miranda and son, Dwaine J. "Trey" Plauche III).
Becky is further survived by her parents-in-law, Victor E. Bean and Linda A. Bean; her sister-in-law, Jeanette Russell (Matthew and children Maisie and Alistair), an extensive and loving extended family, and many cherished friends.
Becky dedicated 25 years of her professional life as an aerospace software engineer with Lockheed Martin, where she was respected for her intelligence, commitment, and exemplary contributions to her field. Her career culminated with her involvement in the first flight of the X-59 Quesst, a milestone achievement that reflected her passion for innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering.
Outside of her career, Becky found great joy in spending time with her children, coaching youth sports, gardening, woodworking, and target shooting. She will be remembered for her wit, warmth, dedication to her family, Catholic faith, and the many lives she touched through her kindness and generosity.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Keller’s Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church, 13517 Alta Vista Road, Roanoke, Texas 76262, followed immediately by interment at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Boulevard, Colleyville, Texas 76034.
