Sarah Caroline Tidwell, 52, passed away on September 2, 2025, at the VITAS Hospice In-Patient Unit in Fort Worth, Texas.
Born on November 17, 1972, in Elgin, Illinois, Sarah was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Patricia Cross. In 1999, she married the love of her life, Matthew Craig Tidwell. Together, they built a beautiful family rooted in love, laughter, and faith. Sarah was a devoted mother to her two daughters, MaryAnn and Meredith, who were the joy of her life.
Sarah’s heart was big enough to hold so many passions. She loved Disney and all the magic it represents, but even more, she loved God, her family, and her friends. Her faith guided her life, and her kindness touched everyone she met. Whether volunteering at her children’s schools, lending a helping hand to a friend in need, or simply offering a warm smile, Sarah gave of herself freely and without hesitation.
Her love extended not only to people but also to the pets who were part of her family. She adored her dogs—Elena, Willow, and Shelby—and her cats, Storm and Earl, who brought her daily comfort and joy.
She will be remembered for her generosity, her joyful spirit, and the way she made every person feel valued.
Sarah’s legacy of love lives on through her husband, Craig; her daughters, MaryAnn and Meredith; her beloved pets; and the many family members and friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.
The family would like to give special thanks to the teams at the Moncrief Cancer Center at UT Southwestern and VITAS Healthcare for giving us the gift of time. Every moment we had with Sarah was precious.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Keller’s Old Town Funeral Home (220 Keller Pkwy, Keller, TX 76248). In honor of Sarah’s love for Disney, guests are encouraged to wear Disney attire to the visitation. A private family graveside service will follow at a later date.
