

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Don Bohannan and his sister Joyce McCorkle along with her husband, Jim McCorkle.
He graduated from Kaufman High School in Kaufman, Texas, and went on to Baylor University in Waco, later completing his degree at Baylor Dental School in Dallas.
Wayne practiced dentistry for more than 60 years in Hurst, Texas, and he truly loved his profession. He loved sports of all kinds! At Baylor, he especially enjoyed playing flag football, where he was proud to be a part of a championship team. He played softball for many years with a team from First Baptist of Hurst and later played fast pitch softball.
Wayne was also an avid hunter, with many trophies to show for his efforts. He greatly enjoyed his membership at Ferndale Fishing Club in East Texas, where he spent many years.
Wayne is survived by his four beloved sons Michael, Bryan (Theresa), Gary, and Steve (Erin) Bohannan and one stepson Terry Moon (Elizabeth), two stepdaughters Cari Ross (Jonathan) and Kristi Parks (Michael). He was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, and he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Other survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Wanda, and his brother, Dr. Roger Bohannan, and wife Donna.
