Billy will always be remembered for his selfless heart to all that knew and loved him. He was the first person to step up and care for those he loved in a time of need. He loved all creatures, whether furry, scaled, or insect variety. Billy passed that love on to his daughter, and together they had a variety of pets over the years, including hamsters, Sebastian, Kiwi, and Frappe; and their rescue dogs, Buddy and Maggie.
By far, the greatest demonstration of his heart is his love for his daughter Lilah. To quote Billy, “I will always do my best to make her laugh because when she’s laughing, I know she’s happy. In her eyes I’m her daddy. In my eyes she’s the world and everything that matters.” He was her late-night confidant, the drier of tears, her attentive nurse, the giver of advice, her softball cheerleader, movie watching buddy, her devoted champion, and so much more. He poured a lifetime of love into their short 14 years together. He is an example to all of us what it means to be present and show up for those we love.
Billy is survived by his beloved daughter, Delilah “Lilah” Jones; his mother, Nancy Jones; father, Robert Jones, Jr.; his sister, Alysia Benson (John); his brother Robert “Robby” Jones, III (Janie); nieces and nephews, Luke, Ella, Declan, Lily, Zane, Kylie and Arlo Eddylee. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Eddilee “Eddye” (Wells) Jones; and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Theresa (O’Brien) Vicknair.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Keller’s Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller,Texas 76248.
