Allen Louis Nygaard

NYGAARD: Allen Louis. Allen Louis Nygaard of Kelowna passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Prince George, BC, on December 12, 1957, he was the son of Carl and Christina Nygaard. He was predeceased by his siblings Jason, Lorna, and Warner, and is survived by his sister Judy.

Allen worked as a welder and steel fabricator in sawmills and later as a millwright in submarine refits. He was a devoted father to Wesley, Justin, and Natasha, and a proud grandfather of four, cherishing every moment spent with them.

A lover of the outdoors, Allen found joy in camping, fishing, and family adventures. Known as a straight shooter and strong provider, he expressed his love through giving, particularly delighting in seeing his children and grandchildren open gifts and celebrating Christmas together. Though his Christian faith was quiet for much of his life, it remained a guiding presence in his heart.

Allen’s legacy is one of family, love, and generosity. He will be remembered for his unwavering care, his humor, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.
