Annie Strutz

July 3, 1910 ~ December 18, 2012

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my mother, Annie, who passed away peacefully at Pleasant Valley Manor on December 18, 2012.

Annie was born in Austria and immigrated to Canada with her family.

Annie will be lovingly remembered by her son, Richard (Dick) and his wife Marilyn of Kamloops, BC; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; her sister Pearl (Portland, Oregon) and brother Tony (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan).

She is sadly predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Michael, sister Rosella, and brothers Bill and Michael.

Annie was well known for her lovely flowers and huge gardens. She will also be fondly remembered as the world’s greatest perogy maker. Annie loved sewing, and donated a lot of her time sewing quilts for her church. She remained faithful to God and her church throughout her life. Annie had a kind word for everyone, and will be missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna, BC. A Celebration of Life will follow at a later date.
