Barbara Ann Jones

Our Mom, Barbara Jones, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 27th, 2024 at 92. Mom was born in Barrie Ontario but then the family moved back to Croydon England. Mom trained as a physiotherapist and came back to Canada to travel across the country in her Volkswagen. Mom met Dad, Bob, in The Bay in Victoria during a White Sale. Kelly and Jamie were born in Victoria and in 1962 they moved to Kelowna where Scott was born. Some of Mom’s greatest pleasures were working in the garden, walking her dog Ambar and reading her old magazines on the beach. Mom was a recycler long before recycling was the popular thing to do. If you ever needed a little bit of something, she was sure to have it in her “shove it” room. Dad passed in 2013 and after that Mom was forced to downsize and simplify her life. Mom was predeceased by her brother Tom in 1988 and her daughter-in-law Bonnie in 2012. Mom was survived by her sons Kelly (Linda), Jamie and Scott (Sarah), grandchildren Cory (Meg), Jesse, Jennifer (Juan Carlos), Jessica, Ariel (Reuben) and Riley (Jessica) and Great Grandchildren Lilly, Axle, Kallen and Eli.
