Barbara Ann Sandberg

June 18th, 1934 – October 10th, 2022

In loving Memory, on October 10th, 2022 Barbara Ann Sandberg passed away peacefully in KGH surrounded by her children. Mom has now joined her husband Donald, infant son Peter, daughter Sharon as well as her siblings Jack and Pat who predeceased her.

Barbara is survived by her children: Dan (Jo-Ann), Jo-Ann (Daryl), David and son-in-law Jerry. Grandchildren: Chris (Sam), Jeffrey, Melanie (Hugh), Jason (Heather), Debra (Quintin), Donnie (Amanda) and Adam (Meaghan). Great grandchildren: Tulia, Claire, Augustus, Duncan, and Caelynn. Also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Ken and Audrey Leier, her sister-in-law Marge Leier as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by everyone that knew her as Barb, Granny, Gramma and Great Granny.

Mom was born and raised in Kelowna and spent her whole life here. This is where she met our Dad who was truly the love of her life and shared 61 beautiful years together. Mom was happiest at home taking care of the family, she loved being in the kitchen and her cooking was second to none. She spoiled us kids with homemade root beer and donuts for after school treats!

Barbara worked at Sears for over 23 years alongside her sister-in-law, Teenie Graf, which made work a lot of fun.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sunpointe Village and KGH for all the care and support they gave Mom.

Funeral Service will be held at Corpus Christi Parish, 750 Rutland Road North on Wednesday October 19th, at 11:00 AM with tea to follow.
