Mrs Carol Florence Ellison

ELLISON: Carol Florence ( nee Derewynka ). December 31st, 1966 – April 21st, 2013. It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Carol Ellison on April 21st, 2013. Carol will be lovingly remembered by her husband Lang, her mother Florence, her sister Gail and brother-in-law Bill, her sister-in-law Stacy, brother-in-law Daniel, her niece JoAnne, three nephews Eric, Christian and Mark and her parents-in-law Peggy and Neil. Carol was predeceased by her father Vic.

Carol was born in Vegreville Alberta and lived in various towns and cities in Alberta until moving to Kelowna in 2004. She had a great passion for helping the less fortunate and giving the best opportunities for children and youth. She lived the slogan “ it takes a village to raise a child “. She was an avid golfer and curler and loved to travel to see new things in distant lands. In honoring Carol’s wishes there will not be a formal service.

She will be cremated and her ashes returned to Alberta. Should family and friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the The Bridge Youth and Family Services Society.
