

LEARN: Catharine Adeline, Born in Macklin, Saskatchewan in 1914, Adeline passed away peacefully at Kelowna Hospice House with her family at her side at the age of 97 years. Predeceased by her husband Alvin, sisters Bertha, Mary Irene and brother George. Adeline is survived by daughters Rev. Julia Craig and Cathy Haig, son Keith and Doreen Learn, grandchildren Laura (Herb) Heidt, Nadine (Doug) Struthers, Todd (Cheryle Battrum) Learn, Shawn (Emily) Learn and Murray Craig along with many great grandchildren and brother-in-law Lorne Baird and nieces and nephews. Adeline was a member of the Rebecca’s, a life member of the ACW, and an active member of St. George’s Anglican Church. She loved doing various crafts, reading, puzzle books, play Scrabble on the computer, watching TV quiz shows as well as attending the Daycare programs at the May Bennett Centre twice a week and spending time with her family. The family would like to thank the staff at KGH, May Bennett, and Kelowna Hospice House for their tremendous loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Adeline to St. George’s Anglican Church. Funeral service and celebration of life will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 3690 Brown Road, West Kelowna on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 at 2:30 PM with refreshments following.
