David Newton Kerr
March 30, 1942 – November 5, 2020
It is with deep sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved brother, David (Dave) Newton Kerr on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020 at the age of 78. Born March 30, 1942 in Winnipeg, David was predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Marguerite Kerr, his wife Sylvia and his daughter Kimberley and is survived by his sister Marilyn Robinson of Winnipeg as well as numerous sister and brother in laws plus nieces & nephews. Dave was brought up in St. Vital, Manitoba and graduated from Glenlawn High School. Dave spent a 40 year career working for BC Tree Fruits and Sun-Rype Products, Most of his time was spent in Kelowna. He and Sylvia were pet lovers and pets were a big part of their lives. A lot of summers were spent camping around Lake Okanagan. He also was a great hockey fan and enjoyed his season tickets to the Rocket games. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of life may be held at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.valleyviewfuneralhome.com for the Kerr

Although we were not able to visit as often as we would like due to distance, we sure enjoyed the many phone calls, messages, and time we did have together when we could visit.
He was a beautiful person inside and out and our family will forever miss his good nature and humor. Dave will be sorely missed by all and he will never be forgotten, May his soul rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. Dave was a great neighbour to me since 1979 when I moved 2 homes away from him and Sylvia.
We stayed in touch when he moved and he would visit me often, lately in his new BMW car that he was so proud of. He will be missed.

I grew up on Crystal Avenue in St. Vital with Dave and kept in touch with him over his lifetime, including his years in Kelowna where I would visit from my home in Victoria. We were very good friends and I send my warmest wishes to his sister and other family members.
