With great sadness, my loving wife Donna Louise Giles (nee Capill) passed away at age 80 on January 20th, 2025. Donna was born on July 28th, 1944 in North Vancouver to Effie and Edward Capill. Survived by husband Spencer and sons Scott (Hollie), and Steven, grandsons Mitchell (Haley), Carter and Jaxson. For many years Donna worked as a stewardess for Canadian Pacific Airlines. Since 2000 winters were spent in California and Arizona. Donna’s father was in the army so several moves took place in her early years to Chilliwack and Camp Shiloh. Following retirement, he became a teacher for the federal government at such places as Masset, Alert Bay and Gilford Island where Donna grew up among her Indigenous classmates and told of many fun and educational experiences. Cremation by First Memorial. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Kelowna Hospice House or BC Cancer would be appreciated.
