Douglas Barr was the 6th of 7 children born to Matthew Barr and Mary Stewart Wilson of Houston, Scotland. Doug grew up in Brandon, Manitoba, and served 6 years with the R.C.A.F. After the war he married Ruth Rud, and they resided in Edmonton for many years.
Douglas will be missed by his wife, Ruth, and children: Marilyn (James) Neufeld of London, ON, James (Joanne) Barr of Kelowna, BC, and Glenn (Sandi) Barr of Winfield, BC.
Grandpa Doug holds a special place in the hearts of: Blain (Jo-Anne McLeod) of Chicago, IL, Brendan Neufeld of Toronto, ON, Phillipe and Catherine LaPointe of Vancouver, BC, and Travis and Melissa Barr of Winfield, BC.
Ruth and Doug have lived in Winfield for the last 6 years.
