It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Douglas Boskill on Friday, July 10, 2020 at the age of 70 years. Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Doreen, their children Kelly (Alexa) Boskill and Koralee (David) Sansom, and his four grandchildren Rilen, Brooklyn, Malcolm, and Nora.
Doug was born on June 15th, 1950 in Humboldt, SK to Lawrence and Lenora Boskill. He was raised with his sisters in North Battleford, SK and spent summers at the family cabin in Cochin, SK. Doug worked for CN Rail for more than 30 years, moving between Edmonton, AB, Kamloops, BC, back to Edmonton and finally to Kelowna, BC. He finished his career as an engine-man on a short-line railroad in Vernon, BC. Doug made friends wherever he went and held on to many friendships throughout his lifetime. He is fondly remembered by many as being a good friend who cared for everyone and always made you happy to be around him. His contagious laugh will be missed by friends and family alike.
Doug is also survived by his sisters Lynne Stade, Sherry (Brock) Duncan, numerous nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
