Erma B. Pierson

Pierson (nee Booth): Erma B. passed on just short of her 90th birthday. Erma will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, predeceased by her beloved husband Herb in 2003, but survived by 2 sons; John (Sally), Don, and 2 daughters; Edna (Ron) and Sally (Ken). Also grieving are grandchildren Darren, Dawn, Clea, Cheryl, Alan, Tana and Rochelle. Great- grandchildren Mathew, Paige, Sara, Cameron, Melanie, Taylor, Gillian, Ryan and Tyler. Also by very special friend Ava.rma was born in Prince Albert, Sask., and lived in Rainy River, Winnipeg. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Sciences specializing in Home Economics. She ended up in Sioux Lockout, Ontario where she raised her family and enjoyed a rewarding teaching career. She taught all grades before settling into kindergarten where her love for the little ones shone through. She is fondly remembered by all her students whose lives she touched.In 1992 Herb and Erma left Sioux Lookout to move to Kelowna, BC where they again made many friends. She and Herb loved golfing, curling, cross-country skiing and fishing. They travelled extensively in the USA and settled in Arizona spending 20 winters golfing there.

Erma also enjoyed all card games especially bridge weekly with Florence, Ann and Lil. She never minded if she got good or bad cards, she just loved to play.Erma never seemed to sit still. Over the years she did pottery, crafts, knitting, crocheting and was constantly sewing something. Her loving and giving nature will be missed by all who knew her.
