My dearest aunty Hinewahirangi the memories I have of you are endless. 
Your loving 💜 smile cheeky humor your cooking & baking always delicious & served & done with love.  your attention to detail in whatever you did was nothing short of perfection even with your house work your home was always immaculate You carried yourself with so much pride loved you for that. 
The love & time you put & had for all my children i will never forget especially your name sake Shonet Hinewahirangi I am so happy you got to meet her baby Kaitiaki at aunty Gorgina's unveiling. 
Last but by no means least to our uncle Olwyn cousins Hone & Craig & all her beautiful mokos she loved you with all her heart & soul. Rest now my aunty I will treasure you always.

When I was first introduced to Hine, she surprised me at how strong, vibrant and so full of life she was. She made me laugh and blush many time throughout the years. She was an inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others,. She was a very proud and strong woman right to the end. Hine Mooney you will be missed. 🙏

I have so many special memories of my time together with Hine, we shared so many laughs, and many tears were shed. I was a new arrival from New Zealand and Hine you helped make my move from New Zealand to BC, Canada many years ago a more memorable time. I remember on one of my visits back to NZ Olwyn and Hine put on a Hungi for Me it was absolutely delicious. On another one of my visits to NZ Hine said to Me we should go out for a drive into the country. I did say to Hine I do not want to drive while I am in NZ. Well Hine drove us out into the country and then Hine said to me well Pat the only way we are going to get home is you are going to have to drive us home. Oh I was not at all impressed, thankfully we did make it home safely. Thankyou Hine for helping Me represent my NZ roots at our wedding by singing and dancing you have such a  beautiful voice, you helped make my special day even more special.  Hine you will always have a very special place in my heart, I will always cherish the many wonderful memories we made together. Sending special prayers and so much LOVE to your beautiful family, Olwyn, John, Craig and their families. Special Hugs from your special friend Pat Reid.

I have Soo many memories of you, one I will never forget is sitting in the car for 2 hours outside the marae just talking, crying, laughing and comforting one another while you handed me $500 in my hand, I gave it back and you growled me 😂 When we would video call or talk, you'd always say "You want to come to Canada? I'll get you a ticket Moko, come live with me." 😂 I miss you Soo much, this week that has passed has been hard mourning you...

In Loving Memory of Hinewahirangi Mooney  

Hinewahirangi, you were more than just a cousin you were family in the deepest sense. No matter where life took us, you always made the effort to stay connected, to remind us of the bond we shared. You will always be missed, and your presence will never fade from our hearts.
I have so many fond memories of our time together, from our childhood days in Mangakino and Turangi to the years spent in Rotorua. Each place holds a piece of our story, a moment in time where we laughed, shared, and simply enjoyed being together.
But one memory stands out among the rest our South Island adventure with the kids. We set off on the ferry, crossing the stunning Marlborough Sounds, the water stretching endlessly around us. The excitement, the laughter, the sense of freedom it was a journey that still lingers in my heart. From there, we made our way to Dunedin, creating new stories, strengthening our bond, and cherishing the time we had as a family.
Those moments remind me of the kind of person you were loving, present, and always making life an adventure. Though you may no longer walk beside us, your spirit will forever be a part of our journey. We will carry you in our hearts, in our stories, and in the love that binds us as a family.

Dear Hinewahirangi,

I was deeply saddened to hear of your passing. I hold so many cherished memories of you, especially from when you visited us in Turangi as a child. I can still picture you arriving in that flash left-hand drive American car, looking so full of life and energy. You were always so vibrant, bringing joy and excitement wherever you went. 

Your spirit, your laughter, and your kindness will never be forgotten. You were more than a cousin; you were family, a special part of my life, and I feel so lucky to have known you.

I am sending all my love to you, and to everyone who loved you, at this time. May you rest in peace, and may your memory continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
