

James was born in Sacriston, England. As a young man he joined the Royal Air Force at the age of 20 years. He then started what became his career as a prison officer in England for 12 years. James then immigrated to Canada, first settling in Edmonton and continued to work as a prison guard retiring on his 65th birthday. He then moved to British Columbia finally settling in West Kelowna. James is survived by his wife of 42 years, Agnes, son, John Watson, daughter, Jean (Andrew) Hyslop, four grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A Graveside service will be held at the Westbank Cemetery on Thursday, August 2nd, 2012 at 9:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life Thursday, August 2nd, 2012 at 10:00 AM at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC.
