RIEGER: Jean May passed away peacefully on January 30, 2011at Kelowna General Hospital at the age of 88 years. Jean was predeceased by her husband Casper in December of 2009. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, leaving to mourn are her sons Bill (Laurie) Rieger, Don ( Pat) Rieger, her daughter Lynn Rieger and grandchildren; Tammy Jackson, Jennifer Wood, Cara Rieger, and Bobbi Rieger also her 2 beloved great grandsons, Calvin Jackson and Cody Wood. A Celebration of Life service for Jean will be held at 1:00pm Friday, February 4, 2011, in the chapel of Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road, Kelowna, with the Rev. Gordon Fletcher officiating.
Jean enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served her country with pride during WW11. She believed in volunteering her time, which she did at Cottonwoods Extended Care Center, her skills as a hairdresser was shared with residents for approximately 20 years.
