It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Frederick Sanford Strelek, affectionately known as Sandy. Sandy passed away at home on January 4, 2025, in Kelowna, British Columbia, after a long illness, with his family by his side. He was 65 years old.
Sandy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on April 4, 1960. He moved to Vancouver in 1971.
He was predeceased by his mother, Karen, his sister, Connie, and his only child, Adam. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy, his brothers, Eddie and Dan, his son's best friend, Matthew, and his granddaughter, Iesha. Sandy will also be fondly remembered by his best friends, Dominic and Danny.
In accordance with Sandy's wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place.
