Katherine Haviar Raspier Katherine was born March 7, 1934 in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. Our favourite lady in the world passed away July 13th, 2020. Our aunty Kay was one of the nicest people ever! She was loved by all who knew her – family, friends and co-workers, the children she taught over the years in Sunday school or daycare, or the different missions she worked at around the world. She was always thinking of others and so very caring. She was a woman of faith, a talented artist and a friend to all. The world has lost a wonderful lady but heaven has gained a truly genuine angel. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 11:00 am at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Katherine would be appreciated to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, www.hospicecoha.org Condolences maybe forwarded to the family by visiting www.valleyviewfuneralhome.com

To Kay Raspier's family,
We knew Kay in Campbell River. Once in a while, I would give her a lift to church from her mobile home court. She was a lovely, polite and demure lady. A true servant of others and the Lord Jesus Christ. She worked in Sunday school in the Baptist Church and cared for children. I have wondered where she was, or even if she was still with us, after we had moved away for awhile, and returned and did n't see her. I thank you for caring for her even as she had cared for others.

Kay was a dear friend - always had a kind word. We saw her often at our community garden and were privileged to share some of our produce with her. We could always count on her when we helped out at the Gleaners.
We will miss her so much, but it's a comfort to know that she has gone to be with her Lord and Savior.

While we all worked at K Mart, Kay took it on herself to have a group over to her place during lunch in Novemember and December to make little crafty gifts for staff and she always made it so much fun. She was always cheery and was always a pleasure to be around. Her family and friends will definitely miss her.

Auntie Katie was the best! From a small child and up until a few weeks ago...we kept in contact via letters. She was the greatest mentor in my life! I loved receiving the little cards with pressed flowers and her creative coloring book! There was such a peace about her....her voice was so comforting! I wish with all my heart I could be there to say goodbye! No more waiting for the mail in hopes of a letter from Auntie...I’m going to miss her dearly! Rest In Peace Auntie...you served Jesus well and He is going to give you a crown of GOLD!
Forever your niece....Cheryl

Memories of Kay Raspier
I met Kay when I started working for K-mart in Campbell River, BC in 1983. She always stood out because she had such a beautiful spirit. I worked with her there for 6 years. In 1987 I was going through some struggles in my life and I knew Kay went to church, so I asked her to pray for me. Her response was so caring when she agreed. She was an important part of my becoming a Christian and I was glad to have the opportunity to know her. She was such an encouragement to me and a real inspiration as a true follower of Jesus Christ. I will never forget Kay and will always remember her kindness. It has been over 10 years since I saw her last but glad I had the opportunity to talk with her and catch up a bit. She will be sadly missed but I know she is now in perfect peace and rest in heaven with God forever. I send my condolences to her family and friends.
