She is predeceased by her mother and father Elizabeth and Edward (Teddy) Newton, her sister and brother in law Anne and Art Wigglesworth, her nephew Ken Wigglesworth, her brother in law Clarence Gravel.
Mary is survived by her sister Lilly Gravel, her niece Nance MacLeod (Gravel) and her nephew Edward (Ted) Wigglesworth and many great nieces and nephews.
Mary worked for many years at the Kelowna Post Office. She will be greatly missed.
Mary's cremated remains will be interred at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery at 10 a.m., Tuesday November 15, 2016. A tea and celebration of Mary's Life will be held at 2:15 p.m. at the Village at Mill Creek, Idabel Community, 1450 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC, also on Tuesday the 15th. Friends and family are welcome. Services will be conducted by Rev. Ted Wiggelsworth.
