

Our family is very sad to announce the passing of Norma Lorine Blankenship (nee Gephart) at the age of 99 years. Born in Leland, Idaho and graduated High School in Moscow, Idaho. Norma worked in the restaurant industry all of her working life.
Boyd and Norma immigrated to Canada in 1967. Norma worked at the Camelot Restaurant and Grandmas Inn in Prince George. Boyd and Norma bought the Centennial Esso Restaurant in the early 70’s until they sold it and moved to Beaver Pass. She worked at Troll Ski Hill and at Wake Up Jakes in Barkerville. When Boyd and Norma moved to Quesnel, Norma worked at the Quesnel Bus Depot Café, until it closed. She then worked at Nugget Restaurant until she retired. Boyd and Norma had a beautiful huge garden in Quesnel, after retirement they moved to Vernon, after Boyd passed away in 2005 , Norma moved to Prince George for a short time and then moved to Village by the Station assisted living in Penticton. They took excellent care of her/
Norma was predeceased by her husband Boyd in 2005, parents William T. Gephart and Lyda Gephart; brothers Clyde(Evelyn), Claude(Edna), Clayte(Helen). Lloyd (Louise), Floyd(Sharon); sister Edith (Albion Eberhardt) (Curtis Jahnke).
Norma is survived by her daughter Shirley Chappell (Terrance), Son Tom (Alma); seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Norma was very hard working, she was also a wonderful wife, mother, grandma,great grandma, great great grandma.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
We all loved her so much and we will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 1st, 2026 at 1:00 PM from the Church Of Christ, 4107 Pleasant Valley Road, Vernon, BC . Inurnment will take place in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery
