I don't know what made me decide to look up Paul Dore.  I am a cousin from Toronto, my Mom Bea Johnston and Jean were sisters.  I use to stay with Aunt Jean and Uncle Dave when they lived up the Mountain in Hamilton and I have fond memories of Paul who teased the heck out of me and Louise, (who I use to call Mary Lou).  Our grandmother was (Matilda)

We are so sorry to hear about Paul, Ron and I have been thinking about him all day.    I think of his big smile whenever I think of him, he knew how to make people laugh and smile too!  I am so sorry for your families loss.

Wow!  So sorry to hear about Stick, I think I'm still in shock so I can't imagine how you must all be feeling.  He was a great guy who always made you laugh and one we'll never forget.  Our sympathies to you and the family,

So sad to hear about Paul..he called me not long ago to tell me about Jack. He said he was trying to get back to Hamilton at Christmas. He was such a great guy, and liked everyone. When I was back in Hamilton, same time as him, he had borrowed someone's car and we had a great time driving around visiting people together. Such a funny guy. 
Sure will miss him.

I'm so grateful that Paul and I were able to reconnect in our " later years" !!  In every conversation, his great love for his sons and family ( Prada too!) shone through! My deepest sympathy to the Dore family.  Paul will be dearly missed and remembered always.

We will cherish the wonderful times of our younger years growing up, the Sherwood gang and lingo, the crazy and fun times, the great and lasting memories.  Always a pleasure to see Paul on his visits back to Hamilton.  Will fondly remember our conversation the week before he passed. Thinking of all Paul's family during this difficult time. Our sincerest sympathy to the Dore Familys with the loss of their brother Paul "Sticky" Dore. He will be remembered fondly. All who knew him will have a Sticky story and a  great amount of laughter from his comic relief.

I have fond memories of Paul when I'd visit Aunt Jean, Uncle Dave and all my Dore cousins in Hamilton many, many years ago. 
My condolences on the loss of your father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.

I have always felt a welcomed part of the Dore family. Not having an older brother I always looked up to Henry. Missing his presents over the past few years,I will always remember his quick wit and classic one liners that we are all still getting a lot of mileage out of.

I knew Paul (before he was Stick), in the early and mid-'60s as a Blessed Sacrament and Cathedral High student and before those daze and nights at Sherwood pool hall. We all remember his quick wit, sharp humour and independent demeanour but I will most remember the kindness and sympathy he extended to me when my wife died in 2008. That showed me the real Paul Dore. Bon Voyage buddy!

We will miss our kind,generous brother, brother in law and uncle. He left us far too soon but will always be in our hearts.
