

She was born on January 1, 1926 in Big Valley, Alberta to parents Harry and Nannie Lee. She was raised on the family farm and had 2 brothers and 8 sisters. She lived most of her life in Calgary, Alberta.
Phyllys began showing her artistic ability at a preschool age and it accompanied her throughout her life. She was an avid member of the Calgary Sketch Club for many years. She was best known for painting and drawing portraits of people, animals and nature and her work was part of numerous private collections and displays. Phyllys passed her techniques on to others by teaching numerous portraiture and still life classes. In her retirement she enjoyed continuing to paint, draw and be creative.
Phyllys was predeceased by her parents, David Elliott (husband), Ib Jensen (second husband) and siblings Joan, Bob, Wilma, Edna, Marjorie, Sylvia, Dorothy, Helen, Lola and Harry. Phyllys is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces/nephews and great-great-nieces/nephews.
