Ronald William Calder

Ron passed away December 11, 2017 at Glenmore Lodge, Kelowna, BC surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in August, 1934 and is pre-deceased by his parents William and Ivy Calder and survived and greatly missed by his sister Doreen.

He will be forever remembered by his wife of 59 years Janice, his children; Marcia (Tony), Cam (Annemarie), Maureen and his grandchildren; Landon (Chelsea), Austin, Justine, Craig, Ian, Corinna, great grand-daughter Whitton and his nieces, nephew and dear friends.

Always a hard worker, kind, humble, gentle and generous of spirit, Dad loved to paint in his spare time many of us being gifted with one of his artistic creations which we will treasure always. He was also a big lover of the game of golf and very much enjoyed watching all his favorites on TV.

It was Dad’s request to have no service and in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his memory to either the Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s Society. A Celebration of his Life will be planned at a later date.
