

Tom Budgen of Winfield, in Lake Country, B.C., Canada, passed away in Kelowna General Hospital on Thursday May 25, 2017, at the age of 91. Tom was predeceased in 2011 by Jean Budgen, his wife of sixty years, and later in the same year by his daughter Tracey Hotchkiss (Mark), children Brianna and Josh.
Also are his other daughters and their families: Vivien Dymond, children Richard and Christina; Marie Fontaine (Bill Humphries), daughters Teresa (Wes) and Melissa; Petrina Palazzo, children Nicholas, Mikayla and their father Tony. Tom’s five great-grandchildren are Darnell and Carson, Medea, Saphryn and Cole.
Born near Canterbury, Kent, England, Tom was the son of the late Thomas Edward and Ada Elsie Budgen of Petham. He was also predeceased by his sister Brenda Wood, sons Kevin and Malcolm and their late father Tony, and his sister Elsie Smith (Ron), daughter Wendy.
Tom’s other siblings and their families are Joe Budgen (Sheila), Andrew and David; Joan Gibbs (Frank deceased) and Gillian; Viv Craig, Michael, Susan and Lucy; Lorna Harris (Roger) and Deborah; Olive Fisher (Jeff deceased), Karen and Stuart; Kath Sinden (Steve), Lesley and Lisa; George Budgen (Christine) and David. The late Jack (Bessie) Budgen was Tom’s half brother.
Tom’s in-laws were the late Frank and Gladys Gambell, the late Moyra Fagg (Cliff) and Pearce Gambell (Penny).

Celebration of Life: There will be a celebration of Tom’s life in B.C. on June 24, 2017. More information will be available at a later date.
