Dale: Shirley J.

In loving memory, we announce the passing of Shirley Jean Dale. Having just celebrated her 91st birthday, Shirley will be fondly remembered by her family and friends. “Shirls” was born July 6, 1928 in Brantford Ontario. Her parents were Marguerite and Ross Wesenger, 2 brothers Dwight and Ronald, and sister Marilyn Holfeld.

Shirley was married to Mac Dale, daughter Kimberly, Son-in-law Bill, grandchildren Michael and Erika, daughter-in-law Angela, and great grandchildren Lukah, Rylen, and Cora who she dearly loved.

She spent her childhood in Ontario and after getting married moved to Vancouver BC and later retired to Kelowna, BC to be near her daughter and grandchildren.

As a young lady she was quite musical, performing on the piano and singing including competitions. For work, she was a secretary and executive assistant at Weyerhaeuser. It is impressive to watch her record notes at the speed of speech in the lost art of shorthand.

Her life was long, full, and she was loved. We will remember her and may she rest in peace.

Celebration of life to follow.

I will miss Shirley so very much. We have been friends for 47plus years. The memories we made💞 Mac and Shirley became my West Coast family and they took me everywhere with them. We went to Whistler when it was a parking lot and the skiboot. I can't say enough about the meals Shirley made. It was a pleasure to sit at her table. I talked to her every few days for as long as I can remember. Our last time together was the Wednesday before her birthday. I was going to the hospital so planned a little cupcake birthday for her and I. It was really special and we both enjoyed our time together. That will be my special memory with Shirley. Forever remembered...Barb and Alex
