Tyler William Peterson

PETERSON, Tyler William .November 12, 1987 to December 22, 2017. With broken hearts the Peterson family announces the sudden passing of their son and brother Tyler. Tyler attended Glenmore Elementary, Dr Knox Middle School and Kelowna Senior Secondary.

He was a member of 1st Glenmore Scouts, achieving his Queen’s Scout Award. He was an avid athlete and excelled in baseball and Tae Kwon Do where he achieved his 3rd degree black belt. In recent years he had been working for Step Energy, and had recently been promoted to supervisor status in October. He loved the north country almost as much he loved his family holidays on Hornby Island. Tyler matured into a fine young man, hardworking, fun loving, enjoyed challenging tasks and was on the threshold of a successful career in the energy industry. He had a positive attitude, a winning smile that was contagious to those around him. Tyler leaves his grieving parents, Audrey and Brian, his sister Natalie and brother Michael. He is also survived by grandparents Natalie Dolynny (Port Alberni), Sig and Elizabeth Peterson (Victoria), uncles and aunts, Yvonne and Rob McArthur (Port Alberni), Alan and Lori Peterson (Grand Forks), Don and Deborah Peterson (Hornby Island), Alison and Joe Duff (Victoria), Leanne Dolynny (Port Alberni), and many cousins and friends.
