NORDSTROM: Wayne passed away quietly on the morning of Feb. 5th, 2021 at the age of 72 surrounded by his loving family. Wayne was born in Kelowna and lived there most of his life. He worked for the Ministry of Highways which took him to all the little towns in the province paving the roads as he went. Wayne had many adventures and met some very interesting people along the way. Years later he could still remember their names and which town or coffee shop he met them in.
He was a member of the Army and Navy and had many good times sharing stories with his old friends. Wayne was a very giving person and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
He also liked to travel which took him too many places including Borneo, Hawaii and Mexico.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents Norman and Violet Nordstrom. Survived by his sister, Sharon Davis(Ken, ) brother Dale(Twyla), sister Sandy Missler(Bob), Karen Ziegler, Sean(Brittany) Caden and Carly. Dorothy, his mom-in-law sadly passed away a day after Wayne. His fur babies Cowboy and Poncho will be missing their dad. Also leaving behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many dear friends.
We would like to thank the wonderful people in ICU at the hospital. Dr. Foster, nurses Christine, Brian, Amy and many others. Also his family doctor, Dr. Parsons.
