Annie LaVerne Richard was born March 8,1931 in the Lively Community outside of Kemp, Texas to parents Arthur Jackson and Maude Lee (Harris) Williams and entered eternal rest on February 22, 2021 at the age of 89.

Annie attended school in the Styx Community where she loved playing basketball and volleyball. When the school had to close, she transferred to Kemp High School and graduated in 1948. She met the love of her life while in high school, T. C. Richard, but did not start dating until after they had graduated. They were both at a local rodeo, started talking and the rest is history. They married in June of 1950. She and T. C. were together so long ... that people would say they were "joined at the hip". She worked for Southwestern Bell for over 30 years and retired in 1986. She and T.C. moved back to the land where Annie had grown up, built a new home and enjoyed their retirement years together.

Annie loved to travel and family vacations were always fun. She loved Elvis Presley and even got to see him in person at Fair Park back in the 1950s when Elvis was just getting started in his career. She also visited Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. She was one of his biggest fans. Annie was an avid reader and liked to work in her flower beds.

She was very dedicated to her family, soft spoken, slow to anger and willing to do anything for her family and friends. Holidays were always special to Annie and she especially loved the Harris Cousins Reunion held every year in the fall. Annie was a remarkable woman who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved her.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents; sister Velma "Sissie" Fowler and brother-in-law Pete Fowler.

She is survived by her loving husband of over 70 years T.C. Richard of Kemp; daughter Vickie Boggs of Rowlett; daughter Debra Hadaway and husband Tony of Kemp; granddaughter Alexa Boggs of Garland; numerous beloved cousins, extended family and many friends.

Ann was such a wonderful lady. We have fond memories of her going back to the days when Aaron reported to TC at Lone Star Gas. TC and Ann were devoted to each other and were a great example of a long-term, committed marriage. Our prayers go out to Debbie, Vicki, Alexa and Tony but especially to TC.
