Mr. Don Jedlicka
March 25, 1947 – May 28, 2018
Lester Don Jedlicka was born March 25, 1947 in Aley, TX to parents Frank Jedlicka Jr. and Thelma (Wingo) Jedlicka and entered eternal rest May 28, 2018 at the age of 71. Don or "Pops" as he was known by most, graduated from Kemp High School, attended TVCC - Henderson County Junior College and received his Master's Degree from East Texas State University. He married the love of his life, Barbara on June 14, 1968. Don worked at Texas Instruments for over 30 years on a team that built infrared radar for the military. He was awarded Employee of the Month and service pins for 25 years and 35 years while employed there. Don was a very intelligent, giving, forgiving, loving, hardworking man that felt education was very important. His love of reading, always carrying a book around in his pocket and being active in The School Board was a testimony to that importance of education. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church serving on the Board of Trustees, being usher, and helping with the Senior Luncheon, Vacation Bible School and the food pantry. Don was a remarkable man and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister Linda, nephew Gerald Jedlicka Jr., and great-niece Haley Driskill.
He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of Kemp, daughter Patricia Riley and Chuck of Kemp, son Jeff Jedlicka and Tina of Kemp, daughter Lucinda Williamson and Daniel of Mabank, daughter Thelma Stegman and James of Kemp, grandchildren: Mikalya Brinegar and Corey of Axtell, Cotton Riley of Kemp, Kendall Riley of Kemp, Jeffrey Jedlicka Jr. of Axtell, Callie Riley of Kemp, James Stegman IV of Kemp, Brayden Williamson of Mabank, Grayson Williamson of Mabank, Thelma Jane Stegman of Kemp, brother Gerald Jedlicka and Judy of Kemp, sister Anna Cross and Doug of Kemp, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.

When I first started going to First United Methodist I helped out with the food pantry for a couple years. Don and I had alot of conversations about a variety of subjects along with Barbara. At various church functions we would discuss many things and I also respected his opinion and what he thought. Don was a good christian man and I cherish those conversations and will miss them. He will be truly missed by many. My prayers to the Jedlicka family, my church family.
