Jewel Virginia Lee (Lawson) Reed was born January 1, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Harry Edward Lawson and Bonnie Annie Johnson and was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and her loving husband James Reed on November 20, 2020 at home with her loving family surrounding her. Jewel made an impression everywhere she went. She and James spent many years as Pastor and wife of Trinity Full Gospel Church where they touched many people's lives with their knowledge and prayers. She was the most loving, caring person that you would ever meet. She was very strong willed but would listen to what you had to say and base her opinions on what the Bible said. She had a way of talking to you that even if you didn't agree with her most of it made sense and was all Bible based. Jewel had a large caring family that meant everything to her and she meant everything to them. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Jewel is preceded in death by her: parents; loving husband of over 65 years James Roy Reed Sr.; grandsons: Robert Glen Turner; Jason Leon Reed and Mark Anthony Deramee; great-grandson Maddox Alexander Nagwai. She is survived by daughters: Debra Turner and Harold of Kemp; Brenda Deramee and Don of Garland; Donna Renfro and Jim of Irving; Bonnie Anita Jones and Larry of Gun Barrel City; Carolyn Reed Bain and Rick of Gun Barrel City; and acquired child Robbin Drake, sons: Roland Reed of Mabank and James Reed Jr. and Huyen "Wee" of Kemp, sister Shirley Wood of Seagoville, cousin Jimmy Parker of Larue, Texas; 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and many, many more friends.

I have had the privilege of knowing this wonderful family, including Mr. James Reed, who with every word , showed me the love and grace of God.even during his long illness.
His wife, Mrs .Jewel, one of my favorite people, went about showing the world what a wonderful Christian could be, even while loosing her beloved James and setting the example for me as a woman who knows how to persevere in hard times, yet praising God all the time.
To her wonderful family, Debra, Shirley, I say God needed her now.

Well done, Good and faithful servant!!!!

Rest well, Mrs. Jewel, your my hero.

Love,

Connie Moriatis
