Mr. Jon Allen Niemuth was born January 9, 1936 in Brush, Colorado to parents Henry and Minnie (Powers) Niemuth and entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2019 at the age of 83. Jon was a third generation American who grew up working in his family grocery store, graduated from Brush High School, attended Colorado State University for one year and served our country in the United States Army where he was a dental assistant. He married the love of his life, Ulavon, in August of '59. Jon had worked for Shell Oil and owned Aladdin Property Maintenance. He was a 32nd degree Mason, member of the First United Methodist Church of Kemp, involved with the Senior Center in Mabank and as a Shriner referred several children to the Scottish Rite Hospital. Jon was brutally honest, full of integrity, a great storyteller and jokester. He loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids, and his dogs. He called every grandkid (or any child he met) "Fred". He said it was just easier to remember so he called all the kids Fred. Jon enjoyed farming, being on any one of his twelve tractors and being in Texas. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed tremendously by all who knew and loved him.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his loving wife Ulavon of Haslet, son Barry and wife Lisa of Canyon Lake, son Jerry and wife Rachel of Trophey Club, son Rodney and wife Liz of Lantana, grandchildren: Michael, Hunter, Nolan, Blake, Zachary, Reece, Faith and Caden, sister Jeanette "Teenie" Sumner and husband Darrel of Brush, CO, niece Denise of Fort Morgan, CO, niece Julie of Denver, CO, other loving family members and many more friends.
