Mrs. Margie Ann Tanksley

Margie was born on January 27, 1943 in Tolosa, Texas to parents Homer Yancy and Elva Jean (McKenzie) Farley and entered into eternal rest on December 5, 2014 at the age of 71. Margie was a country girl through and through; she loved being at home taking care of her family. She enjoyed being outside gardening, growing vegetable and beautiful flowers. Margie loved bird watching; her favorite bird was the hummingbird. She enjoyed crocheting Christmas booties for the family. Margie loved spoiling her grandchildren and her dog “Buddy”. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Grays Prairie Baptist Church. Margie was a very loving and caring lady who will be missed dearly by those who loved her. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Levon Potts, whom she was married to for 25 years before his passing in 1985, second husband William Tanksley , nephew Scott Tanksley and niece Misty Farley. She is survived by her son Jeff Potts and wife Debbie Pometo, daughter Cindy Potts, grandsons; Justin Potts, Dillon Potts and Peyton Potts, brother Larry Farley, sisters; Linda Earnhart, Nita Tanksley and husband Wayne, Karen Rosson and husband Charles and Tracy Thomasson, a host of extended family and many more friends.
