Philip Allan Jennings was born on April 10, 1968 in Tucson, Arizona to parents Alvis Franklin Jennings and Mary Kate (Boshers) Jennings, and entered into eternal rest on February 10, 2019 at the age of 50. Philip attended high school in Kemp, Texas prior to working for more than 30 years as a mechanic. He loved being outside and his hobbies included benefit car shows, fishing and camping. Philip was an awesome man who especially loved his family and grandbaby, took care of his family and others. He had a joke for every occasion and never met a stranger. Philip and his wife Barbara married in Kemp, Texas on April 3, 1987.
Phillip was preceded in death by his biological parents Alvis Franklin Jennings and Mary Kate (Boshers) Jennings; his adopted parents Gene Edmondson and Jeannie Edmondson; his parents-in-law Mazell Sawyer and Bobby Norman; his stepfather Bill Sawyer; and daughters Shelby and Britney.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Jennings of Kemp; daughter Kaytee Lopez and husband Alton of Kemp; daughter Lora Santos and husband Matthew of Kemp; daughter Brandi Beddow of Kaufman; daughter Patricia Jenkins and husband Jared of Payne Springs; brother Bobby Edmonson of Glen Heights; sister Cleta Cook of Lubbock; sister Carria Cook of Ellsworth, KS; brother Don Boshers of Venus TX; sister Carolyn Garner of Longview; brother Billy Jennings and wife Denise of Belen, NM; sister Leta Coddington of Schertz; sister Amy Clay and husband Melvin of Wataga; sister Bonnie Junek and husband Carl of Boerne; brother Allen Newkirk of Gun Barrel City; and grandchildren Serenity Lopez, Landon Jenkins, Kyler Jenkins, Logan Fielding, Layla Fielding, Colton Newkirk, Joseph Newkirk and McKenzie Newkirk, other loving family members and many more friends.
