Judith Welz

Judith Carolyn Welz (nee Lentsch) passed away on August 26, 2025 in Hayes, VA. Judith was born in Buffalo, NY on March 21, 1942. She was the beloved wife of Howard Rudolph Welz, her husband of 66 years and 8 months; the devoted mother of Howard Paul Welz and Richard Welz; cherished grandmother of David Welz, Richard (Ricky) Welz, Kayla Delli Carpini, Nate Welz, Sarah Welz, Timmy Welz; great-grandmother of Bailey Delli Carpini, Ella Delli Carpini, and Domenico Delli Carpini, Jr.; dear sister of Marjorie D. Skudlarek, Linda Lynch and the late George R. Lentsch and loving daughter of the late George J. Lentsch and late Dorothy M. (nee Menders).

Howard and Judith were married on December 13, 1958 at Grace Parkridge Evangelical and Reformed Church in Buffalo, NY. After their marriage, Judith and Howard resided in El Paso, Texas before returning to Buffalo in July of 1961. They had two sons, Howard Paul Welz born in October 1959, and Richard Welz, born January 1962. They subsequently relocated to the Mid-Hudson region of New York State, where they lived for the next forty years. In the Fall of 2002 Judith and Howard moved to Hayes, VA , where Judith resided until August 26 of this year. Judith was a devoted wife and mother, a homemaker in the truest sense. She found great joy in entertaining family and friends, especially at Christmas time. It is due to her loving nature that her children and grandchildren have the many happy childhood memories that they continue to cherish. She will be missed immeasurably.

Please join Judith's family on Thursday September 4, 2025 from 10AM – 12PM at the DENGLER ROBERTS PERNA FUNERAL HOME 3070 Delaware Ave, Kenmore NY. A prayer service will be celebrated at the Funeral Home at 12PM. Interment will immediately follow at Acacia Park Cemetery, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Rd, North Tonawanda, NY, 14120.
