There are no words to express my sympathy to Laurel's family for such an immense loss... Laurel was a beautiful person, inside & out.  When she smiled, her whole face lit up, and wherever she went, she brought great joy.

Laurel was a most spectacular roommate.  I'm grateful to have shared that time with her at Fisher; we had a blast!  We'll always have Tori Amos...

Keeping her and her family in my prayers that you may find peace and comfort; may she fly with the angels.

So many amazing memories! From college, to apartments, new houses, house parties, cottage time,  holiday parties, birthday parties, weddings, pumpkins, activities, games, and our favorite “Christmas tree” day! Sam, so sorry to hear about Laurel. I'm sending you and your family lots of love and will be thinking of you all during this time.

Laurel was a true light and one of the reasons why I looked forward to going into the office many days. She was my administrative assistant plus so much more for the last many years, in fact she really was my force in the office - keeping me organized, knowing what I needed (sometimes before I did), keeping things calm even during the busiest of days but most importantly, was a dear friend.  A dear friend who did not want to cause concern to others. Getting to know Sam, Evan and Nathan were added bonuses and hearing all about their musical and sporting activities was a highlight of our chats….and absolutely some of the kindest people I know. We will hold you all close in our hearts and will be here to support you in the days, weeks and years to come.

We were beyond lucky to live next to Sam & Laurel for 2 great years in Buffalo. We had no idea Laurel was fighting the fight she was as she was always so positive and living life with a smile on her face. We were so lucky to have our first child and constantly be checked in on by Laurel and making sure we were doing okay. As a new mother, I will never forget her kindness.  A true reflection of Laurel’s kindness is how amazing her two sons are. We’ve never met two more polite, kind & helpful young men. Laurel and Sam have raised two incredible sons and she will be with them until the end of time. We are sending continuous prayers to the Sam, Nathan & Evan during this time.

I am so sorry to hear this. Sam, you are all in my thoughts. You and Laurel were two of the most welcoming presences and warmest members of the Fisher family. Much love to all.

Laurel was one of the singularly nicest,brightest,individuals I have ever known.Her title was Executive Assistant at GoldbergSegalla,but to me,who worked with her daily for many years,she was like a second daughter.There are no words to describe what a reliable,efficient,and loyal friend Laurel was.Her lose is devastating.I take solace in the fact that although we have lost a person who immeasurably enriched our  lives,heaven is now blessed with a very special Angel.
 In her memory we turn our focus now to supporting Samuel,Nathan and Evan,just as Laurel would have wanted us to.
 May she rest in peace in the knowledge that her friends will support in anyway they can,those she loved.

Always the kid at heart…just enjoying the moment with the kids visiting Santa.  She’s not just observing, she’s one of the kids!

Apart from being a rock star in a stressful job, she was a standout softball player for the Goldberg Segalla softball team. I recall a game we won in July '05 by a score of 18-10 despite only fielding 9 players. Apart from being a standout infielder, Laurel hit one of the team's 3 in-the-park home runs. Sam and her boys are in my prayers.

I was devastated to learn of Laurel’s passing—my heart aches knowing she fought so bravely for six years without letting her friends share in her burden. She was my closest friend in college, and your family always made me feel like one of your own. I’ll never forget the warmth of your home or the fun times shooting pool with her dad, who was always game for a match.
 Laurel’s fierce competitiveness and unbreakable spirit made every moment with her unforgettable. Whether we were rollerblading, battling it out in one-on-one basketball, dominating video games, or kicking back with a few drinks while watching the game, she brought so much joy and energy to everything. She dragged me into coed intramural football and that legendary softball team, where I met lifelong friends—and even my wife, through a connection from one of our teammates. Without Laurel, my life would look so different today.
 She was more than a friend; she was family to me. One of those rare souls who could reconnect seamlessly after years apart, as if no time had passed. I wish I could have said goodbye, but I know her pride wouldn’t have allowed for pity—she was too strong for that. The hole in my heart is immense, and I’ll miss her terribly every day.
 My deepest condolences to you all. May her memory bring you comfort, and may she rest in eternal peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Laurels passing. We shared some very fun times in Girl Scouts when we were young and growing up in the same neighborhood. Although, we have not spoke in years I want to wish my condolences to her family and friends. RIP Laurel, I will always think back when we were horseback riding and camping with girl scouts and remember you with such kindness.

Laurel was a bright light every morning when we worked together at Goldberg Segalla. A can do  sweet lady and strong  spirit who helped our day become easier!  And a great softball player! Fond Memories, Tom Segalla
