Lester R. Kline of East Amherst, NY, passed away on September 30, 2024, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on April 20, 1948 in North Tonawanda, NY and graduated from Bishop Gibbons High School in 1966. Lester served in the Vietnam war and was a proud and highly decorated Navy veteran, until his honorable discharge in 1987. He enjoyed learning, travel, dancing, and spending time with loved ones. Les was the beloved husband of the late Rita (Whisman) Kline. Les is survived by his daughter Carroll Paré and husband Ronald; his son Michael Kline and wife Teanna; three grandsons Jakob Paré, Tanner and Trace Kline; one great grandson Kian; siblings Richard Kline, John Kline and wife Lauren, Mary Wittlinger and husband Jeffrey, William Murray and wife Judy, James Murray and wife Linda, Jeannie Bogner and husband Brian, Brother-in-law Edward Sanders and many nieces and nephews. Les is preceded in death by his parents Elroy and Florence; his siblings Jacqueline Sanders, James Kline, and Elroy W. Kline III. No prior visitation. Graveside service will take place on Thursday October 24, 2024 at 1pm at WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd. Corfu, NY 14036.
