Eileen was a dear friend. I have many fond memories of things we enjoyed doing together, like sewing lessons and learning to paint watercolors. Eileen was also my personal "cat" authority and consultant. We certainly enjoyed cats.

To the Brady Family: You have our prayers and sympathy on the loss of your Mother. She and your Father really were unique in every sense of the word. I have a copy of "The Elephant Who Wanted To Pray" and several of the wonderful "tri-fold"  christmas cards  they were so well known for. The photo gallery also triggered many memories: seeing Mary with your Mom and in the background at St.John's to see "Uncle Bill" who always refered to my Mom as "Beaut" was really good. I remember that Canisius trip to Europe in summer '65 when we were leaving Rome by train over flooded tracks and delayed w/o food, luckly Don and I each had a box of pastry. My Mom, Mary Agnes Reagan Woods, had been a Brady family friend since childhood at St.Vincents and the Mount. Years later my husband-to-be had Dr. Brady at Canisius College. This seems like the end of an era.

To The Brady Family -

I'm so sorry to hear of Eileen's passing.  Thinking of her always brings a smile to my face because it brings back memories of my mom, Anne Catt.  The stories the two of them had - they should have written a book!  I think your mom was the last of the "whisky sour group" so a true era has come to an end.  Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Brady Family, I remember well the times I spent in your home in Kenmore when we were at SJB and the Mount. Your Mom was such fun and your Dads' books were great. We were all so close back then. I will keep you all in my prayers. Mrs. Brady will be missed!

Dear Bradys:  Eileen's death seems like the end of an era.  For so many years, she and Charlie and you children overlapped on the edges of my family -- Crescent Beach, your family Christmas letter, Wizard of Oz books, Kristen taking me to share a day with her at Canisius when I was deciding where to attend college, Karen working with my dad (and me, summers in college) at the News.  My thoughts are with all of you -- I know you will miss your mother tremendously.
