Marc Thomas Jehrio

At the age of 53, passed away on July 30, 2026, at home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Marc loved life, and life loved him back - lighting up every room he entered, laughing loudly, loving deeply, and turning strangers into friends wherever he went. Throughout his journey with cancer, Marc displayed extraordinary courage, determination, and unwavering hope, inspiring everyone who knew him.

Marc is survived and deeply missed by his loving wife of 20 years, Julie (née Keefe), and their 9 year old son, Nathan, who was the joy of his life. He is forever remembered by his mother, N. Jean (Derrick Simon) and his siblings and their families: Gregory Jehrio (Michelle Torzewski), Kristin Jehrio (Robert Enger), and Jon Jehrio.

His memory will also be cherished by his Keefe/Vincellette family, who loved him as their own: James & Patricia, Kimberly & Shailesh, Michelle & Daniel, Jaimie & Anthony, as well as Violette and Barbara.

Marc’s memory also lives on through his nieces and nephews - Matthew, Sarah (David), Branndon, Christopher (Sierra), Elena, Kiran, Ben, Anna, Will, Noelle, Connor, and Eva – and many other relatives and countless friends.

Marc is reunited with his beloved son, Quinn; his father, Thomas; and his sister-in-law, Dawn, who all predeceased him.

A lifelong resident of Western New York, Marc was a proud Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. He graduated from Williamsville East High School, SUNY Buffalo, and Buffalo State University.

Marc embraced life with an energy that was impossible to miss. He loved traveling with his family and seeking out new adventures, whether close to home or across the country. A dedicated road race runner, he completed eight marathons, countless half marathons, and more local races than one could keep track of. He found joy on the ice playing adult rec league hockey with his beloved Growlers teammates and on the slopes skiing both in the East and out West with family and friends. Marc was always ready to try something new and always excited for whatever came next.

Marc loved being with people and had a way of turning even the simplest days into something memorable. He enjoyed spending time with friends, meeting new people, and bringing fun and laughter wherever he went. He enjoyed playing games with family and friends, creating times that were as lively as they were unforgettable. His friendships were deep, his bonds genuine, and his presence made every room brighter. Marc found his greatest joy in being with Nathan - at the rink, cheering him on at his various sports games, riding bikes, building Lego, or just playing and spending time together. He considered fatherhood his greatest accomplishment.

Marc’s legacy is a reminder that we choose how we live - and he chose joy, connection, and a life lived to the fullest.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the countless doctors, nurses, and healthcare providers who cared for and supported Marc throughout his cancer journey. In honor of Marc, friends and loved ones are encouraged to learn more about pancreatic cancer, its early signs, and the importance of ongoing research. Marc believed deeply in the power of hope and science, and his legacy will live on in the fight for better treatments - and one day, a cure.

Memorial offerings may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org), Hospice Care of Buffalo, or another organization dedicated to advancing cancer research and supporting patients.
