Passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 72.
Teri will be remembered for the things she loved, the talents she shared, and the friendships she treasured throughout her life.
Teri was an avid gardener and well known for taking great pride in her yard, especially her flower beds. She was also an advisor to many on how to care for their yards, flowers, and plants. People often stopped to ask her about her flowers. Through her love of gardening and caring for her yard, she developed close friendships with several of her neighbors. Teri treasured these friendships.
If Teri was not in her yard, another favorite place to be was in the Adirondack Mountains, relaxing on a boat on the lake or sitting on a porch or dock visiting with friends and family. It was a place she loved and where she enjoyed spending time with the people who were important to her.
Teri was a gifted and talented craftswoman. She was an accomplished seamstress and also crocheted, knitted, and created beautiful needlepoint pieces. Many friends and family members have been the recipients of her beautiful baby blankets and sweaters, as well as handmade home decorations and holiday items.
Teri was an animal lover but had a special love for black cats. Anyone who knew her knew all about the cats she had at one time or another: Sasha, Licorice, and Midnite. Pictures and videos of their antics were often shared, and they were also the inspiration for many of her handmade creations.
She is survived by her sister Sally Dury McGinnis; her daughter Karrin Forder Murphy (Robert); her two grandchildren Brenna and Wesley; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband William (Bill) and her siblings Donna, Phil, and Phyllis.
A Gathering for Teri will take place on Wednesday November 11, 2026 at the DENGLER ROBERTS PERNA FUNERAL HOME 3070 Delaware Ave, Kenmore NY at 1230 PM with a service at 1 PM. Interment to immediately follow at the St. John Cemetery Cheektowaga NY.
