May 14, 1957 in Bethpage, New York, a son to the late Larry L. Koch and Beatrice Weiss Koch.
Alan spent the majority of his life in Long Island, New York; recently making his way to Georgia to be
closer to family. His working career was spent as a Retail Manager for several different companies and
for a time he was also a wedding dj. In his spare time he enjoyed playing music, cooking and meeting
new people. Though his career and hobbies were important and brought him great joy, Alan’s greatest
joy came from being a dedicated husband to his loving wife, Gloria and a wonderful father to his two
sons. Alan was always generous, kind, and thoughtful to anyone he met; he was a wonderful husband,
father, brother, and friend.
Alan is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Moore-Koch; two sons, Bryan Koch, wife Heejin Choi, of
Newton, MA and Justin Koch, fiancé Wenting Tong, of Omaha, NE; siblings, Martin Koch and Barbara
