A Celebration of Life service will be held in Alec’s honor on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, GA. A visitation for family and friends to gather will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, between the hours of 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. There will be a private celebration at the home of Micki & Jerry White’s immediately following the service.
A proud graduate of Kell High School’s Class of 2016, Alec’s adventurous spirit and love for life were evident from an early age. His lifelong passion for skateboarding began as a child at Sweet Apple Elementary and grew into one of the defining joys of his life. Whether he was skating in Georgia, Washington, or Florida, Alec always found freedom and peace on his board. His favorite place was Swift-Cantrell Skatepark in Kennesaw, where he spent countless hours with friends, sharing laughter, encouragement, and the thrill of the ride. When not on his board, Alec devoted himself to his second love—art. A talented sketch artist, he poured his imagination and heart into every drawing. His works are cherished by many and continue to inspire and bring happiness today.
Alec was employed as a technician at Old Castle Infrastructure in Acworth, where he was known for his dedication and hard work. Beyond his job, his true impact came from the way he connected with people. His easy smile, kind heart, and passion for life left an impression on everyone he met. Alec’s life, though short, was filled with adventure, creativity, and love.
Alec is survived by his parents, Kip Cochran and Ashley Short; sisters, Katie and Lila; grandparents, Linda Cochran, Micki & Jerry White, Dan & Marybeth Norma; along with aunts and uncles, Devin, Hayley, Tyler, Cortney, Jonathan, and Jake; and many other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Drew and Mitchell; and grandfather, Harvey Cochran, Jr.
His memory will live on not only in his art and in the skateparks where he thrived, but also in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
