Alice (Lish) Loretta Kiger Meade, 77, passed away on Saturday (June 22, 2019) in Dallas, Georgia. Alice was born October 31, 1941 to the late Silas Franklin and Eunice Brown Kiger in Greensboro, NC.
Alice was a devoted Christian and a beloved member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hiram, GA. Alice was also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed. She was known for her wonderful “plain country” cooking and loved to plan, cook and share her wonderful meals with family, friends and neighbors. She also worked as family advocate for the state of Florida for many years.
Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd, her daughter, Donna Sue Forrest Gray, her brother, SF Kiger and sister, Eula May Kiger Paisley, brother- in-law and best friend, John Paisley.
Left to miss her, her laugh, hugs and cooking are her son, Mike Forrest and his wife Dawn, her brother, George Kiger and wife, Kay, grandsons, David Forrest and wife, Kelly, Stephen Forrest and wife, Emily, and Cory Bell and wife, Laurie. She will be sorely missed by her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Lauren, Josephine, Kami and Allie along with numerous nephews and nieces and their children.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held for Alice at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Hiram, GA on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Derek Berry officiating.
