

Alwayne Campbell, 87, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012. She was born January 3, 1925. Having spent the majority of her life serving the Lord in her beloved hometown of Copperhill, Tennessee, she was a member and retired employee of the First United Methodist Church of Copperhill. She was an active volunteer in her church, a member of the UMW, and a frequent Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher.
She loved to bake, sew and spend time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed visiting with friends, reminiscing on her many and varied life experiences.
She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, a daughter, Carolyn, and a granddaughter, Rhonda Callihan. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Strawn of Dallas, GA, a son, Roger Campbell of Wedowee, AL, four grandchildren; Ron Callihan, Gina Freeman, Christopher Campbell and Kimberley Pierce, and ten great grandchildren; Tiffani and Michael Callihan, Jonathon, Kathryn and Matthew Freeman, Marcus and Brian McInturff, Cali and Cadence Campbell and Clara Pierce . She is also survived by a sister, Ellen Melton and a Brother, Wilburn Hughes.
Services will be held at Winkenhoffer Pineridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw, GA 30152 on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Visitation will be from 11-1 with the funeral service to follow at 1 pm.
