Anita was born 31 October, 1949 in Coos Bay, Oregan, the second daughter to Iris Ilda Bern and Dr. Gerhard Orville Bern. The family soon moved to the Atlanta area where Dr. Bern served for several decades at the VA Hospital.
Anita graduated from Avondale High School and soon began her 31 year career at Delta Airlines, primarily as a Flight Attendant and also served as Instructor, Supervisor, and Personnel Interviewer.
Her proudest accomplishments, however, were in her role as mother and later grandmother.
Anita is survived by husband of over 47 years, Joe; her daughter Kelsey; her sister Jackie, nephew Ron, and niece Donna. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter Soon-Ae Pyle.
Celebration of Life/Inurnment service is scheduled for 1:30 , Sunday 29 June.
