Her journey on this earth was one marked by kindness, resilience, and joy. A woman of deep faith and a devoted follower of Christ, Anita found strength and purpose in her close relationship with God. Worshipping at Piedmont Church of Marietta for over 5 years.
Anita dedicated over a decade of her life to nurturing and caring for children through her own childcare service, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives and their families. Her loving, patient nature and playful spirit made her a second mother to many.
A proud breast cancer survivor, Anita was a beacon of strength and hope. She actively participated in a breast cancer survivor support group and the Relay for Life, encouraging others and spreading hope through every step she took.
Creative at heart, Anita loved crafting and making jewelry—each piece made with love and often shared with friends. She never missed a chance to enjoy life’s simple pleasures: shopping with friends, cheering for her Georgia Bulldogs, or dipping her toes in the sand on the shores of Myrtle Beach. Her best memories were family trips to the beach, where laughter, sunshine, and love filled the air.
Anita was a social butterfly, full of warmth and light. She never met a stranger, and anyone who crossed her path felt welcomed, seen, and cared for. Her heart was generous, her smile contagious, and her spirit unforgettable. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and joy.
Anita is survived by her sons, Joshua Golub & wife Annie, and Ryan Golub; grandchildren, Cayce Golub and Charlie Golub; sisters, Rebecca Smith & husband Johnny, Connie Poole, and Denise Lathan & husband Doodle; nieces, Lindsey Smith, Lauren Chu & husband Melvin, Katie Poole, Mary Beth Pizango Davila & husband Dustin, Megan Chambers & husband Casey, nephew, Tyler Isbell & Jordan; great-nieces, Norah Chu, Finley and Emory Isbell, great-nephews, Grant and Ethan Chamber; and good friends and caregivers, Susan McGaha and Gloria Cox
While we mourn her loss, we also celebrate a life well lived—a life filled with purpose, compassion, and unwavering faith. She is now home, reunited with loved ones, her toes in the sand, and her heart full of peace.
