Archie led an interesting and full life. He attended Acworth High School and received a full scholarship for football at Tennessee Tech. He accomplished a lot throughout his life and enjoyed working many jobs. He was stationed in Germany when he was in the United States Army and he loved serving our country. He worked as a police officer for the Marietta Police Department, was a field engineer for Long John Silver's worked in security at Walt Disney World. He also had a private pilot's license and flew for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea (Greg) Anderson; sisters, Pat (Jim) McCoy and Linda (Joe) Jolly; and grandchild, Cole Anderson.
A celebration of life for Archie Sanders will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Heritage Baptist Church, 1070 Douthit Ferry Rd, Cartersville, Ga 30120, at eleven o'clock in the morning.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Archie's honor to Heritage Baptist Church. Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in handling the interment.
