Bali Tillery McGill, known as Grandmama, age 71, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away on Sunday morning, April 18, 2021, at 3 am to meet our Savior, Jesus Christ. Bali was born on January 10, 1950, in Opelika, Alabama.
Bali was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She coached cheerleading in Acworth and Kennesaw and a past board member for the Acworth Baseball & Football associations. Bali was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 5408. She was retired from the Home Depot Store Support Center with 23 years of service. Bali enjoyed being involved with and supporting all the activities that her children and grandchildren participated in.
Bali is survived by her husband of 51 years Scott McGill; daughter Jessica Wittenmyer and her husband Joel; sons Jason McGill and his wife Angie, Justin McGill and his wife Jennifer; brothers Greg Tillery and Clay Tillery; sister Denise Jenkins; grandchildren Annaleise, Hannah, Dylan, and Katie. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Bali was preceded in death by parents Barbara and Bill Tillery, as well as her sister Lori Rice.
A visitation for Bali will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 11:00 am, with burial following at Pineridge Memorial Park.
